Questa caratteristica consente alla canna di Madake di crescere con fibre più compatte e di avere una maggiore resistenza allo stress, anche se, la conseguenza di questa qualità, è un peso specifico leggermente superiore.
Anche se è migliore, il Madake qui da noi comunque scarseggia e per diminuire i rischi di danneggiamento, negli archi inserisco delle piccole lamine di fibra sintetica per stabilizzarne la forma e la potenza.
Vista la scarsità del materiale, i tempi d’attesa per uno yumi di bambù, variano. Sono compresi fre i 3 e i 12 mesi, questo perché dipende dal grado di stagionatura delle lamine a disposizione in quel momento.
Per gli yumi di fibra di vetro invece non ci sono problemi di tempo. Una volta fatto l’ordine, se non disponibile subito, in 2 settimane l’arco è pronto e consegnato.
Il colore è a scelta e il costo è di 250 euro più le spese di spedizione.


Speaking with a botanical expert on exotic species, I discovered that the Madakè, the right bamboo to build yumi, here in Italy has a higher quality than the Japanese due to the lower humidity of our territories.
This feature allows the Madakè to grow with more compact fibers and have greater resistance to stress, though, the consequence of this quality has a specific weight slightly higher.
Although it is better, here the Madakè is dfficult to find and to decrease the risk of damage, I put the strings of small sheets of synthetic fiber in order to stabilize the shape and power. Given the scarcity of material, the waiting time for a bamboo yumi, varies betwin 3 and 12 months, because it’s depends on the degree of maturation of plates available at that time.
The price of bamboo yumi is between 350 and 800 euro. It depends on the quality of the chosen bow.
For fiberglass yumi instead there are no problems of time. Once you place your order, if not available immediately, I need no more then 2 weeks and the bow is ready and delivered.
